i went through a "spiky" hair faze this year and my hair's still suffering.it's about sholder length and i'd like it to be about down to where my underarms begin.

First of all, trimming your hair will NOT make it grow any faster. Hair grows from the root, by your scalp, so doing anything to your ends will not speed up progress.

Trimming ends will, however, keep your hair neat, and keep your hair stronger which may lead to longer length.

When your in the shower, leave the conditioner in your hair for ten minutes, before you rinse it out.
