After washing hair while it is still damp put "Frizz ease" in it, this stuff is awesome. Blow dry hair. Then curl with iron small pieces at a time and spray "super hold" hairspray on it while you have it wrapped on iron. After you have finished spray all over with "super hold" hairspray.

While your hair is in the iron, spray on a curl activator. It's amazing! Then, of course, apply hairspray!!

put some bio-silk on your hands (dime size) slather through the bottom ends of your hair.

wax hairspray (bed head) also works.

lol dont worry all you need to do is be paitent. Hold the iron in longer than you think, and if your hair is thick, take extremely small peices at a time. Alot of people like curling just the ends of their hair, so if you want to do that, just roll up about 2 inches of hair. Also try something called AquaNet, it's a product used by professionals who are doing hair for photoshoots, it works like a charm, and when ur doing a photoshoot you want your hair to be the same all the way through!

Well first of all, I've heard (and experienced) the hair spray before you curl your hair and it is a disaster!!! it makes it all tangly and terribly hard and just an awful mess! so I would suggest not doing that anymore! :)

To make hair less frizzy you should hold the curling iron vertically in your hair, when your hold it horizontally than it gets frizzy and the curls aren't as nice.

I have a problem with having a curling iron curl hold in my hair too but I don't have it with quite the severity you do. What helps for me (although I don't have as difficult as a problem as you so it might not work on you) it Bed Head's "Head Rush". It says that it's for frizz and shine (and it's a MIRACLE that way, actually) but my hairdresser also uses to help hold curls on her clients and told me the tip. However, it might not work on you (although the anti-frizz thing is really awesome! It was so humid where I live a few months ago, like unbearable humid and my hair was totally disgustingly frizzy and I didn't know what to do for school because school had just started and I wanted a good first impression! I started using this (and putting it in my purse and reapplying throughout the day) and it saved me! It also is my favorite scent, I want it as perfume but the scent doesn't last in your hair, unfortunately.) and, with the chance that it might not work with holding the curl, it's a little expensive (a spray bottle -similar to a hairspray can- is $18).

Honestly, All you can do is take very, very small sections of hair and hold the curling iron in your hair for longer! And you could try the Bed Head "Head Rush".

Hairspray does work if you do a light mist of super strong hold hair spray (for me) but don't spray a lot or it will look and feel hard and not pretty :(

good luck!

sorry for rambling, I tend to talk a lot when talking about beauty products I really like, haha :)

best wishes,
