Any tips for making my hair look thicker?
Layers would be great, but you probably don't want to get a new haircut the day before the picture. Instead I would try:
Comb a volumizing mouse into your hair (I like paul mitchell best). Blow drying in the direction of your hair will make it less frizzy. Once your hair is mostly dry flip your hair upside down and finish blow drying and spray with medium hold hairspray (this will give it volume). Flip your hair back over and arrange it w/ your fingers.
I would leave your hair straight because then it will look pretty without distracting from your face.

to add volume use velcro rollers.
the larger the roller, the less curl.
the smaller the roller, the more curl.
remember to clip the rollers in place.
try setting them while your hair is damp.

I think you should have it whatever way you want it to, sometimes having it wavy or curly takes too long during the morning when you're getting ready for school. So I suggest just keeping it straight or the way you're hair naturally is. Then if you want your hair to look thick I would suggest maybe getting a hair brush and combing it backwords from the bottom up but don't try to make it look too frizzy and thick. If you're not into trying that get some Pantene Extra Fullness hairspray that always works for me.

Layering your hair will make it look a lot thicker. You could also put waves into it or lose curls. Test it first because you might not like the curls or waves.
