Patience. I'm notorious for chopping my hair off, but thankfully it grows relatively fast. Try not to use harsh chemicals (i.e. perms or color treatments) on your hair. Avoid frequent use of curling irons and straightening irons. And when you're growing it out, you should probably get your hair cut every 8-10 weeks. Snipping the ends makes your hair healthy and encourages new growth - just don't cut it too frequently or you'll defeat the purpose of growing out.

Just be good to your hair, and it will grow!

Take gelatin capsules or drink hot jello water. It helps the hair and the nails both.

Some tips I have would be to keep your ends trimmed. This should take place at least once a month. It will help your hair to grow better/be healthier, because you will be ridding of dead ends. Also, keeping it properly conditioned with a well-balanced diet helps. Vitamin E is also helpful in aiding hair growth/health, and can be taken as an actual vitamin, or is found in some hair products. You might have heard this as well, but I suggest brushing your hair (as some beauticians believe) at least 100 strokes per day. This is believed to keep the hair healthy and shiny. We all lose 1,000s of hairs each day, so don't let the 100 strokes deter you.
