i do clean/maintain my hair but just got it texturized and i've heard its different. Looks like my hairs turn lil reddish color, don't if its from water because i still wash hair everyday. Basically any tips or ideas are welcome. thanks

I just retrieved this bottle from my bathroom, which was recommended by a black beautician for my daughter, who's father is black: POROSITY CONTROL (pH 4.5) by ROUX. It's a conditioner which is a porosity corrector - moisturizes, detangles and lusterizes. You can leave a little in when rinsing, and I do that myself (anglo with thick,fluffy hair, long). Hey, when I'm combing it through in the shower, it's slippery like EGGS! It's the one product I keep coming back to, for both of us. I get the 32oz. bottle for $20.

Hey, unless you got color added, is your hair reddish because of being stripped (bleached a little)? You can always ask the person who did it for you, shouldn't be any big secret (unless it was an accident, whoops).

The chemicals you added to your hair changed the color. Use a shampoo and conditioner for chemical treated hair, use Creme of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner. You do not have to wash your hair daily. You can wash your hair once every other week, you will lose your natural oils if you shampoo daily. Keep moisture on your hair, like an oil sheen or hair dressing, because you added a chemical to your hair and they tend to dry the hair out.
