my hair is puffy and wavy but i want it straight without having to slave over it for 3 hours with a straightener

Depending on your hair texture, you could always get a chemical relaxer, otherwise, I suppose blow drying would be the best option, then just touch up the ends with the straightening iron, make sure you apply something to protect from the heat first though.

I suggest just blowdrying your hair after you shower. My hair is like that, too. Or, if you don't want to blowdry, you could let your hair dry on it's own. Then when you want it strait, comb something like de-frizzer through your hair. It might make it easier to straighten.

BLOW DRY. Then straighten just the under part of your hair.

After washing your hair, add some straightening gel and or frizz control, and then use a straight to dry type of straighener
