Tips to keep hair SUPER straight for school lasting 6 hours !?

The process may be long, but, it works great.

1) Start by washing your hair with your favorite shampoo or conditioner in the shower. You can also try straightening shampoos and conditioners. I know brands like John Frieda, Biosilk and Herbal Essences carry them.

2) Towel dry your hair for about 15-20 minutes. When about 15, 20 minutes is up, shake your hair around with your hands and grab a comb.

3) Comb out your hair for a couple of minutes. You can use a light detangling spray if desired.

4) Now it's time to blow dry. Keep the blow dryer at least six inches away from your head and do not direct the flow of air to one section for longer than a few seconds at a time to prevent overheating the hair. Comb your fingers through your hair while drying to keep hair from tangling. Do this until your hair is about 80 percent dry.

5) Apply a light straight styling cream or spray to your hair. Brands like Pantene and Sunsilk have straightening styling products for all hairtypes.

6) Separate your hair into three to four sections. Clip all hair up, leaving one section down to dry. If you have very thick hair, you may need to separate it into more sections.

7) Use a paddle brush (flat and wide brush) for a straight hair style. Brush your hair while continuing to dry hair with the airflow directed downward until each section is dry. Start drying with hot air first, then when almost dry, use cold air. The heat opens the cuticle, which helps to style the hair and the cold air locks the set.

8) Use a flat iron on your hair. If you do not have one at home, Conair carries cheaper ones and CHI carries more high-end, expensive ones. I recommend the CHI, I have one at home and it works wonders. It will even last you about 10 years or more! Before flat ironing, make sure your hair is 100% dry. Using a flat iron on wet hair isn't successful. Read the packaging of your flat iron, and set the flat iron at the appropriate temperature. Carefully look over the instruction manual. Use the flat iron on 2-inch segments of hair at a time. Place the flat iron near your scalp and steadily move the flat iron toward the tip of your hair. Repeat until you have straightened all of your hair.

Good Luck with school and curl-free hair! =]

buy a really expensive hair straigtener. or blow dry it, it sounds weird but blowdrying is better than a flat iron.

Spend a lot of time straightening in the morning.

Divide you hair into 3 layers, straightening from bottom to top, spening about 10-15 minutes on each layer.

Finish with some hairspray, and you are ready to go!!

Why straight? I'll give you tips for both its a gurl thing. for straight hair u need an expensive hair staritener blow dryer and a vent brush. First take about a 30 min shower. Blow dry hair. Then Starighten. Use vent brush to take out knots and to add a flip.

Or try using shampoo that has 70% to staighten your hair. then use conditioner that has all the treatments use vent brush and no blor dryer if u have thick hair thiner hair use blow dryer.

P.S. bring a brush to school so when at your locker you can brush your hair.
