the only way your hair will grow at a normal rate is if your healthy, like getting enough sleep at night, eating healthy, %26amp; taking vitamins like a %26amp; c. not doing things that will ruin your body like smoking %26amp; drinking. i noticed this when i started excerising %26amp; eating better, my nails even grew a lot faster. hair products that say your hair will grow faster will only ruin your hair like hair-dye. the only thing you can do is make your hair healthier by taking care of it. don't listen to any of these people who say they can find a product that will will increase the growth because like i said it will ruin your hair causing it to have damange, then it will never grow. no matter what color your skin is!

It's all in the genes. Some people's hair grows fast and others will not. To encourage growth and avoid breakage, you need to keep your hair well-conditioned. Avoid using hot curling irons, blow dryers and a lot of chemicals in your hair. If you decide to use a relaxer, let a professional do it and be sure to condition it often. A good, inexpensive conditioner to use at home, is the mayonnaise brand. Pay special attention to the ends of your hair because that is where it tends to break off. At night, you can use an oil pomade (one like Castor oil) on the ends of your hair, and cover it with a silk or satin scarf to keep it from getting tangled. Always comb your hair with a wide tooth comb to avoid breakage. Our grandmothers had very shiny, longer hair years ago and that is because they didn't use all the chemicals we do nowadays. Also, they used the oil or pomade on their scalps and it kept their hair from being dry. Despite what the hairdressers say, about greasing you scalp or hair, I find that works as long as you don't plaster your hair with so much that it looks or feels greasy.
